Good question. I don't know what he has been doing. I would assume he would be approached too. I actually heard that one of the ways to bring everyone back was a story arc involving a memorial wing for Mark Greene or maybe they will pick up with what Carter was doing before he left in setting up a clinic in his stillborn son's name and that will bring people back. Regardless, I think we will see Benton too. |

Source: WENN Michael Clayton actor George Clooney is reportedly set to make a comeback on the long-running medical drama ER for its final season. The series' producer David Zabel is desperate to get characters old and new together for a one-off special to celebrate the hit show ending - namely Clooney, who would reprise his role as Dr. Douglas Ross. The TV drama, which will reportedly end after its 15th season, catapulted the 46-year-old star to the Hollywood A-list after his run on the show from 1994 to 1999. Zabel says, "We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now. We'd love to get them all back in some way - that doesn't mean we are going to but we are going to try." And bosses at the show's network NBC are also eager to bring back actor Anthony Edwards - despite the fact his character Dr. Mark Greene died of a brain tumor. Zabel adds, "There are ways to do it that we've thought about - even if it were like a lost episode from 1996." |

Clooney on ER Rumor: There's "No Reason" to Return Talk that George Clooney might be lured back for ER's 15th (and final...?) season is being shrugged off by the movie star himself. "Weighing in on the recent rash of rumors," Clooney tells TV's Extra, "The truth of the matter is they wouldn't ask, and there would really be no reason for it." (Fair point, seeing as the Cloon already was top-secretly employed to lure Julianna Margulies' Carol off the show.) Clooney tells ET that he was so perplexed by the rumblings that just the other day, when he ran into John Wells, "I said to him, 'What the hell happened?' He said, 'I don't know where that came from.'" http://community.tvguide.com/blog/TVGuide-...-News/700000044 Looks like it was just a rumor. Too bad, because I probably would have tuned back in to see him. |
